Athens Tree Farm Athens Texas Trees

What is a Certified Platnium Grower?

This is to certify that all trees grown at Athens Tree Farm have been grown from seeds on cuttings in certified Root Maker containers (Designed by Dr. Carl Whitcomb). These unique containers promote prolific root branching at all stages and prevents ALL ROOT CIRCLING! Our thick fibrous energy filled Rootballs allow each tree to grow faster and better than even trees growing in nature.

Here at Athens Tree Farm, we grow 3-4 inch caliper trees in about half the time and cost it takes most conventional growers. The best part about that is…our trees will out perform any other competitor and inturn set your landscape apart from the “standard”. Our assets are our ability to produce superior plants with superior root systems and do it CONSTANTLY and ECONOMICALLY!

The Rootballs shown here are not any “Special Selection Group” they are typical Rootballs from trees grown in the conventional smooth wall containers compared to our Rootmaker Rootballs. Plants with inferior root systems are typically slow to establish after transplanting due to the minimal amount of small roots that are accessible. Because of the circling pattern in these roots they are susceptible to pathogens, drought or other environmental stresses.
